Can they detect a heart beat at 6weeks?

I’m going for my first scan next week, I will be 6weeks2 days. Can they detect a heart beat at this scan ?

HR is not consistently found and heard till 7.5 weeks. That’s why so many OBs won’t even schedule you till 8 weeks. 
Plenty of people get lucky and hear or see a heart beat before then. But if you don’t it’s not a big deal.

Not always. My daughter didn't have a heartbeat yet at 6 weeks 4 days. But some do as early as 6 weeks.

I saw the heart flicker at 6+1!

They could at mine but I could only see it on the screen. They couldn’t hear it yet

They detected my baby's heartbeat at 5w+5d but they said it's not uncommon to not see anything at that point.

Probably not. And a lot of people are within a week of the date they suspect so if your anywhere in five weeks then no. I went at 6,1 and was actually 5,4
