Pregnancy after miscarriage

I've tried looking online, but haven't found anything helpful. I can't get in for my first ob visit until the 23rd,and I'm so anxious. I had a miscarriage back in october at almost 12 weeks. That was my first pregnancy. I've had pretty bad cramping since the week before my expected period. It was so bad I ended up at the doctor thinking I had another ovarian cyst because the pain was so bad. They did ultrasounds and ran tests, but found nothing besides a tiny spot in my uterus that was too small to tell what it was. Finally when my period was 2 weeks late I got a positive test at home, then positive blood test at the doctor! 😁 I'm excited, but also concerned because the pain still hasn't stopped. It's less severe than when it started, but hasn't gone away at all. Could it be because of my previous miscarriage and the d&c I had or just normal and I'm freaking out for no reason. Anyone have a similar experience with pain in early pregnancy and everything was fine?
