Is foreplay a big deal to you? Would you break up with someone over it?

My boyfriend isn't all that into it. He'll spend 5-10mins & that's it. I know for some women that is plenty of time, but I love foreplay....I think I may even love it more than sex itself. & I like the romance, intimacy & fun of it all. I've personally found the better the foreplay, the better the sex. He argues that the women he has dated in the past were fine with 5-10mins, so I should be too. Now if the foreplay was short & amazing, I'd be able to deal with it, but he just does a half-ass job just to get it over with(& I've only orgasmed once with him) & then we'll have sex, but it's never enjoyable for me.

What bothers me is that we get along in every other area & have a lot in common, so that's why I hate that I'm even considering breaking up with him, but I've tried talking to him about it & he gets so offended. He's selfless with everything but sex. I'm just at my wits end.
