Is something wrong with my IUD?

Question

So I’ve had the Lilletta IUD since April 2020 and haven’t had a period since August. I’ve had some spotting since then but it only ever lasted for a day. Now the last 3 days I’ve had crazy spotting and all the symptoms of my period back (bloating, cramps, nausea- everything that caused me to get the iud in the first place). Does it sound like I should get it checked to see if something is wrong or is this normal sometimes?

It might be normal, but if you bring it up to your doctor, they may suggest changing birth control if this becomes prolonged or if you need a birth control with different hormones. 
I would check your strings and also see if you feel pain when you press over your uterus to see if the IUD is causing other physical issues to your body.
