Is my dad wrong or is he right?

So, I let me dad know that my husband, kiddos, doggy, and I are going on a final family getaway in a few weeks.

My husband and I own a business and the only time it's closed are 4th of July week and Christmas week. My husband can't really take any other time off because the few employees we have aren't ready to run the business without him there.

We have 2 young boys (both under 5yrs) and we will be having a baby girl in about a month. So, if we don't take a mini vacation this 4th of July week we probably won't be taking one until next year.

Both my husband and I are tired and stressed and could REALLY use a vacation. So, we decided to book a cottage in a family friendly resort in San Diego for 3 nights on the 4th of July week. San Diego is only about 1.5 hours from our home and there are hospitals there that take my medical insurance too.

My dad told me I'm being selfish and need to stay home because baby is getting close to being born.

I would be 38 weeks pregnant when we go on vacation. My first was 1 week late and my second was only 1-2days early so I figured the vacation is fine and not too risky since this baby shouldn't be 2 weeks early. Besides, we plan on taking it easy in the cottage and maybe just sun bathing by the pool/splash pad.

So, is my dad right in saying I'm being selfish? Or is it okay for my family and I to have this last vacation/de-stresser trip before we welcome a new baby into our crazy stressful/busy household?
