Growth Scan?

When am I supposed to get one? Baby girl is 33 weeks to the day & im going in today for an appt and she mentioned MAYBE doing an ultrasound last time I went in but I read it’s supposed to happen between 28-32weeks initially so.... a bit lost 🤣 we’re moving next week to a new hospital (most likely not a Naval hospital either because they’re “not taking new patients” at the hospital 🤦🏼‍♀️) so I wanted to see her and make sure she was okay BEFORE the move.

They typically dont unless they are worried about something or just want a growth scan in general. Like personally I've went every 4 weeks since 19 weeks pregnant because my babies small. I've had small kids to begin with but my doctor wants to make sure she doesn't go down in percentiles. However I'll have one every 4 weeks till I go in labor ♡

I think they only do growth scans if the baby was measuring more than a week ahead or behind at the anatomy scan. My baby was measuring a week ahead at 20 weeks and two weeks ahead at 24 weeks, and I don't have GD. So I have a growth scan at 29 weeks they scheduled a month ago, and unless her growth has evened out, they said I'd have at least one more. 
If your baby was on track at the anatomy scan, it's probably not a priority for them. You can always ask at your appointment and then schedule a scan at a private place to make sure baby is doing fine.

I got one today at 36.5 weeks pregnant

I got a 2 growth scans because baby was measuring small then he was measuring to big . The ultrasound tech told me it’s only two ultrasounds normally unless more are required .

Anatomy scan is the last unless you go past due date or think something needs to be checked
