Has anyone take a new born to the grocery store?

I need to get out the house and get a few things , my baby is only a week. Also I wanna take her to the park to get a tad bit of sunlight. The doctor said a tad bit of sunlight is Ok because she had a slight bit of jaundice after delivery 😕

I took my 5 day old to church, the grocery store, and the park back in March when she was born. Just don't let people get too close and keep her covered for the most part

My daughter didn’t go anywhere for the first 2 months except to her doctors appointments, I went outside with her in my own yard but my fiancé and I decided we wanted to wait at least 2 months before taking her anywhere now only because we were tryna be extra cautious with covid and all

Went out to dinner 3 days after delivery. Babies need to be exposed to germs, sunlight and everything around them. Don’t feel bad going out. But if YOU don’t physically feel up to it, don’t rush your healing process.

This must be your first. Unless your nb has some preexisting immune issue you can do whatever you normally do. It's not an option to keep them solitary after you've already got one. 
Your breast milk will adapt based on what the baby needs...which is why women instinctively want to put their mouths and noses on babies. The kissing and smelling allows the body to  collect germs off the baby and causes your body to adjust the milk composition based on baby's natural flora.

I didn’t go out that early with my son back in 2018 but I did around 2 weeks. I just kept the stroller covered and had a passive aggressive please do not touch note. 
However, now with COVID I’m not sure where my comfort lies. I think I would do similarly. Keep babe covered, wash my hands, wear my mask (even though I’m fully vaccinated). 
We’ll see what I decide when my baby comes at the end of the month.

You just have to be cautious when you take them outside, make sure they are in the shade because they can’t wear sunscreen until they are 6 months old. The UV rays will still reach them in the shade for the jaundice, but not as direct.

I took my baby out when she was a week old and nothing happened she didn’t get sick because i kept her snuggled and didnt let anyone near her, now shes 5 years old 😂
