Why doesn’t my bf want to see me?

I’m currently away studying for university and due to his work my boyfriend hasn’t been able to get the time off to see me. I completely understood this.

At the weekend he went out all night and didn’t text me- which is abit unusual cause we normally talk every day, however I didn’t think much of it. It was his friends birthday and he apparently spent a lot of his money.

Now, he got this week unexpectedly off work so I thought this would be a perfect time to see each other and when I ask him to come, he says he doesn’t want to as he doesn’t have the money🤨. I haven’t seen him for weeks and we are only 2 hour drive away- now I’m on my period so maybe have overreacted but this just didn’t make sense to me and I got a little mad, cause the situation didn’t make sense- he couldn’t really even shown where the money went to. I literally offered to pay for his travel up here and still nothing.

I then get a call and he wants some space to think about things, after I got annoyed about him spending all his money.

So now I’m here, I’m so hormonal and emotional cause of my period and I just want so bf love right now ☹️

We haven’t called in a few days and I wanted help on what to say to him, as I don’t want to come across annoying and wanted some girls second opinions, does this seem weird?😕
