How is food going?

My 6.5 month old is on purées at the moment but he isn’t a fan of them. We only give him them about once a day right now and we basically just have to force a tiny bit down and then give up. He refuses everything so far basically. He did the best with sweet potato. Are your babies enjoying food yet?

My girls seems to be liking it!
Just turned 6 months.
I’d like to do baby led weaning, but she isn’t quite ready.
Not sitting up fully and not totally grasping food and bringing it to her mouth.
So I’ll do a little bit more purées till she seems ready for table food :)
I’ve been making our own baby food too, she seems to like some of the combos I’ve come how with.

We just started last week, im trying half and half, puree and blw ..raspberries were a hit :p oatmeal was a miss ..it may be too thick I was trying to skip baby cereals but I might get 1 bag to get her used to the texture, she enjoys fruits for sure so far :) but im only poking at it currently once a day when we eat super j sit her with us, in a week I'll add twice a day I think and increase quantities from there

My LO likes foods. We’ve had - sweet potatoes, peas, parsnip, papaya, pear, bananas, butternut squash, oatmeal cereal, but he doesn’t have any interest in feeding himself. Not really grasping at small pieces. We tried strawberries but he wasn’t a fan.

We started puréed early and that has made a world of a difference with solids now at 7 months.

Obsessed! He watched his sister in her high chair and starts freaking out mmmmmm mmmm mmmm and can shovel down a whole tub of peas or turkey rice 
He doing okay with crushed toddler Cheetos and the puffs and yogurts, wants them really bad and picks them up himself but still chokes quite a bit

We started baby led weaning around 6m and have been having a blast! My girl loves exploring and tasting new foods and has been a champ. I highly recommend the resource Solid Starts (on insta especially) for all blw info! 
Even when we do something with a puréed texture, we’ll preload the spoons for her o feed herself. It can get messy but she’s so independent already I swear !

Our Pediatrician gave us the go ahead to start purees at 4 months. We started with Avocado then apples. He has had broccoli, green beans, strawberries, watermelon, sweet potatoes, bananas, peaches, and carrots Tomorrow we try out peas. 
I have been making his purees I really enjoy it. He has had cinnamon, nutmeg and cumin for spices added to his purees. Next new spice is sweet basil with peaches later this week.
He has had 2 meals a day since we started. We felt ready to start because he was reaching out for our food and intently watching. He is starting to pretend to chew so we probably will start with raspberries and strawberries for first solids. Watermelon had been in a mesh feeder which he really loves since he is teething.

We’ve started BLW and she loves it. She’s had a few purées and loved those too but prefers feeding herself.

My son has loved everything so far except green beans but I’ve put breast milk in all of it except the green beans. He eats oatmeal sweet potato poi banana carrots anything really so long as it has the milk to thin it out a hit he’s good. I suggest adding just a little milk even if it’s formula. I personally thought it’d help him adjust to food since the main diet has been milk new tastes felt like they’d be weird to him. I’m slowly thickening the food. He’s been eating and breastfeeding since 4 months he makes 6 months next week. He also steals my food too within reason. LOL good luck💕
