We’re not finding out the gender of this last baby, and since I’ve made that decision I’ve been stuck on gender neutral names. Do you guys think Emerson/Emersyn works well for either? Middle names?!!! I love that name, but unless it’s Ralph freaking Waldo I tend to lean toward it being a girl name😫 but I love it!

Have you thought about choosing both a girl name and boy name ? That way no matter the gender you have a name ready to go instead of gender neutral ? Gender neutral is hard for a name..

We also aren’t finding out the baby’s sex and Emerson/Emersyn was on our list for awhile. I only personally removed it because it got VERY trendy and I don’t want my kid to be one of 4 Emerson’s in their class. But I think it works wonderfully for either!

I really like Emerson for a boy. I personally think it’s awkward/unattractive as a girl name. But cool and distinguished-sounding as a boy name.

Any name could be gender neutral! My daughter's middle name is Raegan so we picked the Feminine spelling, but it would've been Troy (or Silas) Reagan if it was a boy

I think it’s fine for both. For a girl, I like the spelling Emersen. But like others have said, you can always pick a girl and boy name. It doesn’t have to be a gender neutral name.

I also don’t know and we just picked a name for each sex definitely hard but equal to if I knew the sex. I feel like you don’t want to just pick one name and then have a girl or boy and think to yourself “this would have been such a baby girls(or boys) name”
