How long till you receive money on eBay?

I sold a jacket on eBay two days ago and sent it off yesterday. Royal Mail second class with tracking. The buyer has sent the funds but there's not much clear information as to when I will receive this. I'm assuming once he receives the jacket I will get the funds maybe? I'm from England if that makes a difference

My SO sells on eBay and he gets it once the buyer receives it.

Did they pay via PayPal? Or just with their credit card?

If this is your first time selling then it can be up to 30 days before money clears into your account

The new system they recently set up does the payout when the item arrives to the buyer. If not, you should contact ebay seller support.

I haven’t used eBay to sell but I sell on Mercari and you always ship the item once it’s sold you don’t get paid til buyer receives item and rates you . The buyer has 3 days if he doesn’t rate then Mercari finishes the sale and your money is released. I’m pretty sure with eBay it’s similar I know they hold the money as well .
