Some people are just shitty…

Sorry- I need to rant a little bit.

In January of this year, I started babysitting two kiddos in my home. Their parents were friends of my husband from years back & their father & my husband started working together & car pooling so I offered to watch their kiddos. The kiddos last sitter was very mean to them. Yelling, not feeding them, hitting them inappropriately- I felt bad and reassured the parents they’d be in great hands in my care.

The son was in school full time so I only had him a few hours out of the day. The daughter was a toddler so I had her full time. They were okay kids. Things were good, they loved coming to my house.

When school ended we started having some issues with the boy. He didn’t want to come to my house, he wanted to go to school. He has adhd and possibly autism. No biggie, I was able to divert the situation and he still was okay.

In May I found out I was expecting. We were all SO excited. Had a conversation with the kiddos about it and told them they’d have to be careful with me. (Rough housing and rough play)

On June 1st I had a miscarriage. I told the parents I needed to go to the ER (recommended by my OB) they didn’t even reply back to my texts. After my ER visit, I sent them a message stating I needed to take a few days off due to me having a miscarriage- agains no contact back. Here we are almost a month later, I have not heard back from them. No condolences & no Pay. They haven’t paid me for the 2 weeks their children were in my home prior to my miscarriage.

I feel bad this happened but it was out of my control. But do you think they could have at least paid me and said “sorry for your loss” instead of completely ignoring me?
