did anybody else’s mom make every feminine, intimate, normal thing into something to be ashamed of? growing up she always instilled into my head that UTIs and Yeast infections were abnormal and gross and made you dirty, you shouldn’t grow hair anywhere except ur legs, armpits and vagina and it should always be shaved. farting was gross and you should never let a man know u go number 2. periods should be a secret. never do your man a favor.. “you’re too pretty to suck dick”. you should wear makeup but also be natural. you should be thin and always eat small portions because it’s “ladylike”. always made a point about how dainty and perfect she was. growing up i didn’t tell her anything n i honestly suffered the consequences.
