Blighted ovum?

Can someone please share their experience with a blighted ovum please? I googled some info, I have NO bleeding & NO pain at all so am thinking maybe I have a missed miscarriage? I went for a scan yesterday, meant to be almost 8 wks but my gestational sac is empty and only measuring about 4 weeks ☹️ I have had a missed miscarriage in the past but that was with twins & I needed a d & c & also didn’t bleed or have any pain until after the d & c… Have another scan coming up in 2 weeks but I’ve already prepared myself for needing a d & c… Thanks in advance 💕
