Any truth to the 'purple line'?

Hey ladies!!
Anyone know if there is any truth to the purple line in the butt crack phenomenon?  If so, does it get darker as you dilate more or does it grow longer? Any correlation to the darkness of color and dilation? And how far away labor is thought to be expected after you see it?

I’m wondering about this too, I’m 39+1 weeks and see no such line and hadn’t seen one with my first pregnancy either

I was this pregnancy (third) old when I learned about the purple butt crack line and curb walking!!! Lol

This is the first I’ve ever heard of this so I’ve been doing some research 😂 it apparently shows up when you’re around 3-4cm dilated and moves up your booty crack the further along you are. When your 10cm it should be all the way up your butt! It happens in about 75% of women 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I’ll be 37 weeks this weekend and I just checked and have a purple line!!!! 🥳 I go to the dr in a week so we’ll find out haha
