Dropping a milk feed?

How can you tell when it’s time to drop a bottle? My 10 month old is all but refusing his second bottle of the day. He’s gone from taking about 26oz a day to only taking 20oz (on a good day). He eats three meals a day (purées) and does great with these. I’m worried he’s not getting enough formula! 🥴 I will add that he’s also cutting his two bottom teeth at the moment!

Dropping milk feeds is normal this age but it is still the main source of nutrition. 
I would highly suggest going away from purees and going to real foods. 10m is a little on the old age to be still on purees unless for medical reasons.

Our daughter is 11mo and is given 6oz bottles 4 times a day. Sometimes she chugs them in 1.5min and sometimes she only eats half. We go off her cues. You may want to consider moving away from purées too. Our daughter eats almost everything we eat.

You should consider transitioning him from purées to table foods. You can start with mashed foods (mash sweet potato, or avocado, fruit, eggs, etc with a fork ) to get him familiar with more textured meals, then start offering soft foods either in small pieces (if he’s pincer grip is good), or long strips that he’d be able to hold. 
Lead by your own example, eat together, let him explore your plate (cut foods for yourself like you would do it for him). 
He needs to start learning how to chew, how to use his tongue when eating the earlier the better. Sucking purées won’t help with development of his oral motor skills and speech.

By 10 months, we were only giving my son approx 6-8 ounces of formula total a day. He was eating really well three meals a day. By 11 months, he was done with bottles/formula all together.
