Too early for spinning babies?

When is too early?

Baby was posterior so my mfm contorted me into a few different positions yesterday to try to get them to move. Well baby moved to face sideways instead of anterior. Every time I have a contraction, I feel babies head jam straight into my hip.

My third was born facing my hip with an arm over his head. He got into that position around 25 weeks and stayed that way and I really don’t want to labor/deliver like that again. It led to some serious hip and pelvic pain that continued for several weeks after birth.

Currently 27+4. I know there’s “plenty of time to move” but all of my kids have been in their position of delivery by 24-25 weeks and never moved out of them through third trimester. My OB said it might be because I have really tight hip flexors?
