Hcg doubling but no yolk sac/fetal pole

How can my hcg levels be 30,000 up from 11,894 last week but them not be able to see a yolk sac or fetal pole? The sac looked empty on transvaginal ultrasound. I have also been cramping. Is there any hope for this pregnancy? Waiting between all the tests is hard.
