Do I have to nurse or pump at night?

If I have enough milk from the day for nighttime bottles do I have to nurse at night? Or can I just nurse if I get too full and give the bottles then resume nursing during the day

If you give a bottle in the night, you will have to pump to replace the nursing session. Any time you give a bottle, you want to pump to replace the feeding. So that supply doesn’t drop.

You can pump once depending on your bedtime and then get you through the night. But your boobs will be hardcore full and painful in the morning.
If my last pump session starts at 12am then I will sleep and wake up to pump at maybe 5am or 6am. My boobs by that point will produce 15-20oz from each boob because they are so full.

If you don’t nurse or pump throughout the night you will end up really full and in pain and possible of your supply dropping. Especially if you are in early pp weeks. You need to nurse on demand with baby.
