Do you ever let your lo stay up late?

If so, how often? I let my lo stay up until 10 once before and it took her a bit to get back in her normal schedule, that’s why I don’t like doing it really. Well my friend let’s her lo stay up until 10-11 pm  all the time! I’m wondering how she’s able to easily get her back into a normal schedule so easily.

We have a pretty strict schedule for our 2 year old and 1 year old. And fortunately they are on the same schedules. my June babe really really struggles if we don’t stick to a good schedule. The most leeway we have is about 30 mins. In bed no later than 8:45 😅

Yep. Bedtime for us is pretty flexible. Mainly because it's a huge fight every night. We stay at home all day so she's able to sleep in if needed. I don't know I'd rather make memories than be super strict with bedtime. The other night she went to sleep after 11 because we somehow started a game of hide and seek🤷‍♀️

My first kid I had him on a super strict schedule and he rarely missed naps or stayed up late. And if he did we paid for
It for days I swear. With June baby, I’m still pretty strict, but having another kid I couldn’t really be as strict as I was. And she bounces back way better than my older toddler does hands down when her bed times/naps get disrupted. With the sun being up so late the kids have zero interest
In going to bed if it’s light out (but they take really good naps usually)

We usually let our June baby stay up later if we have people over or when we are at my in-laws if we don’t want him to sleep over. As long as he is having a good time I’m fine with it. If he is tired and whinny I will put him to bed. It hasn’t really affected his sleep overall. But we don’t let him stay up super late, maybe a 2 hours past bedtime. However, I do not mess with naps!

We let our kids stay up later when we are at our family cabin. We try to get them in bed between 8:30-9pm but sometimes bedtime is a shit show. It’s a hard age to travel with and maintain a consistent routine. We haven’t had issues getting back to our normal bedtime which is 7:30pm once we are home. Usually we are all so tired from not sleeping well that we crash early at home.

Yep! Usually when we have family over or are over at a friend or families house, we will let him stay up until we leave if he doesn’t fall asleep before that. I would say once a month or so and always on a weekend. It doesn’t do anything with his sleep cycle he is still up at 630 the next day 😂😂

I do and it doesn’t mess up anything so I see nothing wrong with it. We used to have a 7:30 bedtime for him and since my husband gets home around 6/6:30, he never really spent time with him and we didn’t spend time all together. We like to go to the park, target, get ice cream, or whatever during the evening when we can all be together. He has a 10ish bedtime and he wakes up around 9/9:30. He still gets his 11ish hours of sleep, he takes a 2 hour nap. He’s fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ We don’t have a strict schedule and that’s perfectly okay. He still sleeps through the night and gets a good nap in.

Well as a struggling mom, i can say once out, always out of schedule. I had a beautiful routine and then, somehow the pressures to visit family or go to appointments led us to be on the road during his napping time which in turn led to him sleeping at weird hours. I try to get him back but somehow he is either to tired or too awake. 
Worst it has been was when i flew back 2 weeks ago, so not he sleeps past 1am and wakes at 8or 9am!! And I just dont know how to get him to sleep more and earlier,  then will have a 3/4 hour long nap!!! 
Am now trying to cut out his nap time and stay home around his nap time. Otherwise letting my son stay awake too long (foeced circumstances) got us here in the first place so i would not do it voluntarily.

Jaxson stayed up til 11:30 tonight because we were at family's house doing fireworks 😬 He's never stayed up later than like 8 before this.
