bowels 10 times a day, pls help

hey y’all,

so little back story: i’m currently doing work placement in an aged care facility and on friday, i felt a little off — my temperature was at 45c, i felt sick and was having pains but i didn’t get sent home.

yesterday (sunday), that’s when i started to feel more sick and started to use my bowels. at first, the first bowel movement i had was large and painful but for every other bowel movement i had, it was still a lot but smaller, painful and i felt like i had to kept going every 20 mins or so and it was almost a liquid.

i’m not sure if i’ve caught gastro or if i’ve eaten something bad but my main question is; is it normal to use your bowels 10 times in one day and for it to be painful to the point you have pain in your stomach + back and makes you sick to the point you throw up?
