Difficulty with transitioning of activities, teaching boundaries- help!
So my daughter is turning 2 next month and enjoys going outside to play walk run. We have a next door neither on occasion is out there playing. He’s 4 so she likes playing or following him while he plays with his bigger toys. I’m out there watching and following as well. She gets super close to him and his grandma and mom just think it’s super sweet but when I saw my daughter about to crawl on him I stepped in to tell her of personal space. Tje little boys mom said oh it’s ok that’s how they learn by touching and exploring but idk I felt uncomfortable and want to teach my daughter boundaries for her safety. So I didn’t let that comment stop me. After playing another bit ve came inside our home she had a complete melt down. Nothing I was doing was consoling her. I feltvsooooo inadequate and even thought maybe she’s bored with me. How do you teach boundaries and personal space among kids playing? How do you deal with transitions?
