Progesterone side effects

It's my first time posting in this group. I typically post in TTC Over 40. I'm about 2 months away from being 42. Husband and I have TTCing for years. Mostly naturally, but recently had 4 IUIs. All were unsuccessful. Through all of those I was taking progesterone vaginal suppositories, beginning 48hrs after ovulation. We did not have an IUI this month and I took a month off between IUI 3 & 4. I have been taking Progesterone as prescribed even when we tried naturally. Anyway, I started to notice some reactions to it and was wondering if anyone has ever felt the same?

I'm ok for a few days when I begin to take them, but buy a week later I'm horrible! I have terrible cramps that mimic moderate menstrual cramps. I can not eat or even drink a thing w/o having to run to the bathroom within a half hour and having diarrhea and that goes on multiple times even after I ate. My beasts are Extremely tender and sore and I feel very bloated. But the worst is the depression. I just cry. I dont want to do anything or see anyone. I'm easily frustrated and annoyed. I just dont even want to even think about pregnancy. I just feel lost and hopeless. This entire process I feel lost and hopeless.

This cycle was a TTC naturally cycle bc I need to call the IVF clinic for an appointment (exploring all referrals). This cycle i couldn't take it anymore. I stopped taking the progesterone and everything improved. My digestive issues cleared. I'm not bloated and my breasts feel normal. Also my mood has improved. I'm still over all depressed about this entire process, but I'm not in that dark hole like before.

Obviously, I know it's a hormonal change and that's the cause of all of the side effects. But had anyone experienced anything like this? Girlfriends and family I've talked to have not.
