COVID at work and pregnant?

Need advise ladies, I have been informed that a co worker has tested positive for COVID-19. However I will be 36 weeks pregnant on Saturday and I’m already chocked up with the cold and really don’t want to be going in with only 3 weeks left til baby is here - the thing is the work I do can be done from home can I refuse to go into the office?

My husband had Covid when I was 38 weeks pregnant last year and I didn’t catch it. Honestly, in my opinion, you’re safe. As long as the sick coworker has been removed from the office and everything has been cleaned and sanitized, you’re okay. 
I’m assuming your employer isn’t telling you who it is and whether or not you’ve had direct contact with tang employee while they’re sick? If you have had direct contact within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes, you might have already caught it. 
I don’t think refusing to work is going to help, honestly. Just keep your distance and sanitize/wash your hands frequently.

The coworker is now isolating correct? You’ve already had contact with said coworker, so not going into the office now that that person is isolating and the office has been cleaned doesn’t really make sense. 
The only way you could “refuse” to go into the office would be if your doctor wrote a note taking you off of work. Otherwise, you could lose your job by refusing to go.

Is the coworker isolated and everyone masking and the office been cleaned? If yes to all 3, then I don't think you can not go in but I guess that depends on the culture of your office.

I found myself in the same situation a few weeks ago, so I can totally sympathize! With the stress of it all, I asked my doctor for support and got a medical note requesting to work from home. My employer was legally expected to honour that request and for me personally it felt like a better decision than taking stress leave. I’m not sure what your workplace with allow, but good luck!!
