Okay, soooo... (Simple question turned in to a rant)

Since before I had Elyse I’ve been following a couple girls on Instagram that were heavily in to Montessori & open play, very against plastic toys & light up/sound toys.. I took a break from Instagram because those girls kind of made me feel like I was failing my kids. Elyse isn’t as advanced as theirs. Now I’ve come to realize Elyse doesn’t really like to play with any of her toys. & she has a lotttt. They’re mostly wooden & even I’d be bored playing with them. They just don’t entertain her. I have a few light up toys that make noise & she mostly plays with those. & also Since I’ve been on my break from Instagram I’ve realized I don’t care to be that kind of mom anymore, that needs to teach her 2 year old things that much older kids do.

Getting on a rant there, my POINT is what are some toy recommendations from you guys? She’s really liking her little people houses & cars.

Idk guys.. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders just by deleting that app. I was really influenced by all of the Montessori & gentle parenting. But I’ve come to realize that doesn’t work with Elyse. Of course I’ll still use some of the toys & tips about gentle parenting but it’s all exhausting honestly. I really wanted all of that to work for Elyse & I was stressing myself out because it wasn’t. I really feel like my parenting journey is starting all over again, & it’s starting with TOYS omg guys I’m so dramatic. 🤦🏼‍♀️😅 but it was a real stressor for me! I was always trying to be a perfect mom with the perfect aesthetic toys & activities but my kid doesn’t care for those at all. Ugh okay I’m over ranting now like wow

Can you please just recommend some toys or activities for me?! Lol she does love activity bins that I put together for her so help with that would be nice too! Thanks! 😅
