This woman has ISSUES

I met my paternal grandmother for the first time last week. We met at the mall because my mother didn’t want my father to come to her house, and she didn’t want to go to his. My grandmother is staying with her son, my deadbeat “father”. While at the mall, my grandmother invited me to go to my fathers house another day to spend more time together. Since she’s about to fly back home soon, I figured I’d visit her tomorrow. I told my mother and she was not happy. My mother was the one who basically forced my brother and I to meet her, and now she has an attitude because I want to go see her. She threatened to call the police on my brother if he didn’t go. My mother is accusing me of wanting to visit my fathers house so that I can have a relationship with him AND his wife.. What could I possibly want with her? Or him really? She is literally the only person that ever talks about him and his wife. I asked her if she’s jealous and she said “of what? You must be crazy”. There was one situation where during a court ordered visit at his house, his wife took my half sister to give her a bath, and she told me to clean up the child’s mess. I was probably about 6. I told my mom about that and since then she has hated her. Saying that she made me out to be a maid, cleaning up after her “snot nosed child”. She also said that I’m trying to have a relationship with my half sister. And if I am so what? My mom and family talked so much shit about her growing up for no reason. One time we were in public waiting on the train when she started talking bad about my sister and I told her that she’s a grown woman who needs to stop talking about an innocent child and she said I was taking my fathers side (like whattt?) and REFUSED to sit next to me on the train. She went into a different cart and moved away from me when I got to her. She said that if I go visit my grandmother, my father is going to be there talking shit about her and I’m not going to defend her, as if that has ever happened. She also didn’t want to see my grandmother without getting her hair and eyebrows done because she was convinced that he was going to “talk shit” about her. Now she’s ignoring me and slamming doors. God I can’t wait to leave this place. Last time I tried to leave she physically stood in my way. Soon I’ll be gone for good.

- I am legally an adult already, so is my brother. We don’t really want anything to do with our father. Like I said, we only met my grandmother because my mother basically blackmailed & manipulated us into doing so. I have plans on leaving and she knows that.

- He is 100% a deadbeat. He didn’t even know how old we were, my grandmother had to ask. He knew where we lived and the only time he ever showed up was to serve my mom with court papers about child support. He was paying $25 a month for TWO kids. What the hell can I do with $12.50? He kept going to court so they can take it off completely. Don’t let this post fool you, he is NOT a good person or father. Both my parents have serious issues.
