Period & supply?

Baby girl feeds on demand and some days she just doesn't feed much. I feel like my supply is very sensitive, and when this happens I notice my supply drop (obviously) and then I'll start spotting. Not a lot, just when I wipe I'll notice the start of what looks like my period. Then baby will start nursing more, my supply goes up, bleeding stops. The last two days though, I feel like I'm struggling to produce how much she wants to eat because she's at my boob constantly, and the bleeding has come back. Is there anything I can do to help my supply? I know I've read your period coming back can effect your supply, but I didn't have issues with this with my first.
