How did you introduce cows milk?

What age? Did you wean off of formula? How many ounces a day does your little one get of cow milk? Do you prefer organic milk or just any store cows milk? Sorry for all the questions first time mom!

12 months. Cows milk is really sweet and has a ton of sugar in it, so there shouldn’t be an issue with the child adjusting to the taste. When you give your child food, give them a little cup of cows milk to go with it/wash it down. Don’t introduce new food with cow’s milk until they are fine with the cow’s milk. If they have an allergic reaction you won’t know if it’s the new food or the cow’s milk. You don’t want to give your child milk until they are 12 months because it is necessary for them to continue taking formula or breast milk for the first year. If you give them cow’s milk beforehand, they may choose the cow’s milk and no longer accept formula or breast milk.

I started at 10 months with my daughter. I would add 1 ounce of milk to a 4 ounce bottle and the other 3 ounces were her formula. I did that for about a week and then eventually it was all cows milk. She had no issues except her bowel movements were a cream color for about a week and then they returned to normal.
