Contractions!!

It’s 2am where I live so I’m hoping someone is still awake to help give me some advice. I’m a FTM and have no idea what contractions are suppose to feel like but I’ve been in pain for roughly an hour now. However, everything I’ve googled doesn’t match up. Apparently you’re not suppose to feel your baby move when you have contractions but mine has been kicking and moving like a mad women. I thought it would be a good idea to just wait til my water breaks to rush to the hospital but I found out that waiting that long might be dangerous… I don’t know what I’m doing and was hoping a mother out there can share their contraction story with me
