Newly diagnosed ☹️

Hey y’all I was just diagnosed with pcos and I just have a few questions for y’all. I’ve been looking up what the treatments are and noticed one of the most common is birth control I really want to avoid this since my boyfriend and I are not actively trying to avoid pregnancy but I’m scared my doctor will tell me that’s the only option since I’m 20 and unmarried. I’m not sure if I ovulate I get cysts and my cycle ranges from 37-69 days. What did y’all start with as treatments? Will she really only give me birth control as an option? How bad does this affect my fertility? Sorry I just have so many questions any answers are very appreciated 💕
