Weird

Hey guys, so today I felt something weird down by my vagina when showering. It kinda feels like extra skin in a place it shouldn’t be. I will be scheduling an appointment with my gynecologist asap and I also looked up what it could possibly be. What came up was genital wart caused by HPV. It says HPV isn’t really a STD but a virus and transmitted through sex. Can anyone please share if they had a similar experience and how they got rid of it? Mine is only one and is rather small but I’d really like to know if it isn’t really something too serious?
