Psoriasis question
Not June baby related and I know she will need a dr for diagnosis.
So my almost 15 year old has been in Arizona since May 26th. She’s freaking out thinking she has skin cancer. Her camera when she FaceTimes isn’t the most clear but she has the red patches all over her stomach, breast area, back, and legs. She’s trying to self diagnose freaking herself out saying it’s skin cancer. But from what it looks like to me is psoriasis. Anyone have any experience with this or thoughts? Also her dad was going to take her to a doctor but then told her he isn’t going to spend all that money for it to be nothing and she said what if it is cancer he told her if you die you die, but she comes back on Sunday and I’ll be taking her to the doctor or even urgent care once she returns!
Also when she was young every year she went to the beach she would get a rash. Everyone ended up saying a chlorine allergy and it was gone before I could ever get her into a doctor. I read dry weather can flare up psoriasis and wonder if it’s been that all these years and this being her first summer in Arizona heat has caused a flare up.
Also read it can be genetic my mom has it on the top of her feet. And I’ve always had these issues with my ears itching and scabbing on the inside and just found out that’s what they think is on the inside of my ears but waiting on my referral.
This all started within 3 days of getting to her dads and has just got worse since. Any thoughts about what it could be are appreciated and I’ll be taking her to be looked at as soon as she gets back. If her doctor can’t get her in on Monday I’ll take her to the urgent care.
