Random gush of blood?

My husband and I have been trying since October, I got my first positive pregnancy test on June 13th. Sadly, that ended as a chemical pregnancy with a heavy 9 day flow starting on June 23rd. I have a follow up appointment set up for August 20th, but randomly had a gush of blood this last Sunday July 18th that I can’t stop thinking about. I went to the bathroom and had a gush of blood immediately as I sat down, I didn’t have any tampons on me since it was still really early (supposed to start my period tomorrow, July 22nd), so I asked a friend and went back to the bathroom - nothing, not a hint of blood. Still days later I’m not seeing any blood. Also, I always get cramps in the days leading up to my period, no cramps then or now. So this is just strange for me and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have the doctors appointment set for August 20th, but should I call them sooner? Has this happened to anyone else?
