Cleft palate

My little man was born with a cleft in his soft palate and a portion of his hard palate. I was going to try and breastfeed but did end up being told by his plastic surgeon he may never be able to get a good latch so if may not be good for him in the long run.. he ended up being put in a special formula(high calorie) he can’t be laid down flat for at least 20 minutes after each feeding bc he has a high chance of regurgitating it back up (which he has done before I know that information).. I was just curious if there are anymore cleft moms out there.. any info you’d like to share about feedings and surgery..
