Weaning?

My LO is turning 1 in August. I am a FTM and have no idea how to go about weaning him from formula - any tips? 
*before someone comments to talk to his pediatrician, of course I will. I just wanted tips from other moms

We started offering small amounts of milk around 11 months as per his pediatrician recommendation. It was not in place of breast milk just in addition to. We would usually have him drink it with lunch or dinner.

So we started with like 75%breastmilk25% milk and then increased to 50/50, 25/75 then 100% milk with a few days 3-4 each level. The biggest hurdles we found was going from warm to cold. We tried just milk from the start and he didn’t like it cold so that was what our daycare recommended and it worked great.
