Sippy cup recommendations

Question

I have a 6 month old son who I just got the okay from his Pediatrician to start giving water. I have multiple sippy cups but they require a lot of hard sucking to get the water out and my son hates it. If he has to work too hard he is not interested but he will take it out of a water bottle if we hold it for him.
Do you have any recommendations on sippy cups that don’t require a lot of effort but are hard to spill?

These weighted straw cups worked well for my son who didn’t really take to the more traditional sippy cup. Although I’ll warn you they do leak, so definitely only use for water, and you do need to clean the spout/straw part thoroughly to prevent mold.

These are our favorite. They don’t leak, ever. Easy to clean. They seemed a little hard to suck thru at first, just took a little time. We started initially with the Munchkin straw cup and still use them. They don’t leak either. Happy with both!

These are the best and believe me, I have tried just about every sippy cup out there! They really require almost no suction at all and they are good practice for using an open cup which is important. They are super easy to clean as well, I toss them in the dishwasher, no straws or spouts to clean. The only downside to these, but not a big issue in my opinion is they are not completely spill proof. If your little knocks it over, or lays it on its side it won’t leak, but if your little chucks it onto a hard floor from their high chair, it will let out a spray of water, not a huge mess though.

We used this one but took the rubber thing out. This way it would just pour out when you tip it upside down. It was easier for baby to figure out. Once the did we put the rubber thing back in so it was spill proof. No problems after that

Straw cups? We've used the munchkin line of cups based on her age and my girl did really good with them. You can try a 360 cup too and keep the lid on. Water will still trickle out but it won't be too much to where babe chokes and will be less messy as far as clean up goes. I've found pretty much all cups leak at some point
