Should they brush their teeth?

My boyfriend doesn’t seem to make his kids brush their teeth. I’m always telling them to but want to make sure they’re at an age to. They’re 7 and 3..They should be doing this every morning and night right????

My parents had the philosophy “well if you don’t brush your teeth you’ll reap the consequences” so I didn’t brush my teeth on a regular basis until I was probably 10. That was 100% neglect and now I have super bad gums and I’ll probably need dentures before I’m 30😭
Yes, make your kids brush their teeth. Not saying you should make in traumatic and hold them down, but make it a fun, reinforcing activity.

If you don’t want their teeth rotting out of their mouth, yes, you brush them. My friend didn’t her whole childhood and she pretty much had to replace every tooth in her mouth. We are 25. Make your kids brush their teeth!!!

2 of my SILs are dental hygienists, they help my nieces brush their teeth twice a day - they have started training the oldest one to do her own, but the little ones do such a bad job they need help 😂

I still brush for my 2 and a half year old because he hates it and won’t do it, but the 7 year old should definitely do it on their own.  The 3 year old may need help or supervision.  That’s part of his job as a parent to make sure his kids keep proper hygiene.

Absolutely! That’s weird he doesn’t have them do it. I even bought an infant toothbrush for my 9 month old. I want him to know what it’s for so he gets his when I brush my teeth in the morning

Of course! I can see sometimes forgetting which I do more than I'd like to lol but more times than not they should be brushed
