How can I tell if my milk supply is dropping?

My baby will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. He’s been exclusively breastfed and we haven’t had to supplement with formula. But lately he’s been eating more frequently. He was eating every two hours but now within an hour he’s screaming and won’t stop until I feed him again. I’m worried I may be losing my milk supply. How can I tell?

That’s normal. Growth spurt prob. Mine is 4 months and does that from time to time. He is increasing my milk supply. Just keep on nursing when baby wants mama!

Sounds like a growth spurt as long as he’s pooping and peeing and gaining weight. They go through spells at 2, 6,8, and 12 weeks I believe. He’s trying to increase your supply. Let him eat as much as he wants and stay latched as long as you can.

Diaper output or you can weigh baby (naked) before and after feeding on a sensitive scale. They had one at the BF group I went to. Like everyone has said 8 weeks is a growth spurt though. I would always forget about the diaper output though and wonder every growth spurt if my milk supply was dropping 😂. I guess sleep deprivation did me no favors.
