2 Months Old Getting Shots??!!!

MOMS how do you feel about your 2 month old baby getting shots? I’m a new mom and I’m undecided if I want my baby to get her shots it’s so much going on with the world now..

Happily keep her on schedule because less parents are vaccinating or vaccinating on the suggested schedule so i personally feel like herd immunity is becoming less and less reliable. It sucks in the moment doing shots but its one of the things in my opinion that needs to be done. The state i live in also requires vaccinations to be on time and doesnt allow exemptions or delays anymore starting in september. I vaccinate BECAUSE of everything going on. The only one that we dont always vaccinate for is the flu shot

I felt the opposite with my son. Because so much is going on right now I wanted him to be at least on his shot schedule. Last thing I wanted was him to catch something preventable when there is so much unknown and scary unpreventable things going on. Our doctors office was very safe about it (healthy hours in the morning, no sick patients until a certain time of day). It helped put my mind at ease some. I plan on doing the same with the baby in pregnant with.

We delayed but because my son was having some neurological issues.  I wanted all that sorted and properly diagnosed before we started a vaccine schedule.  His pediatrician agreed that was the best course.  So he’ll be starting at his 2 year we’ll check.

I said that too. But in reality, I got the shots and I’m just fine. You don’t want to risk anything ESPECIALLY with all this shit going on in the world. You do what you think is right but protect your baby momma. You’re the only one who can! ❤️

Its a part of life and if i want my baby to survive said crazy world i do it!  There the same vaccines they were giving our generation when we were young and we all survived it.

I was all for them at first but then I ended up doing my own research and decided that I no longer wanted my child to have her shots done. She got her first and second round before I decided to stop having her get them. She is almost 6 now and has been sick a handful of times. Usually a minor cold. Has had the flu 2 times! 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me, it wasn’t a question - he got all his shots at the recommended time. There were a few times we had to delay slightly, because he was sick with ear infections a lot during the first year (ended up with ear tube surgery right after his 1st birthday). But it was important to us because he was going straight into daycare at 3 months, and most centers require up to date vaccination. 
I do understand why you are questioning (especially with all the misinformation out there), and you should know that it’s possible to have an extended vaccination schedule where the shots are spaced out more. Talk to your pediatrician about options, and know that ultimately its up to you to do what you believe is right for your child, and your family.

We’ve thought about delaying or spacing out but can’t really justify it because our son will be going to daycare at 3 months and I know he will be more susceptible to illness.
