Reusable diapers

Question

So we are having baby #3 and thinking about reusable diapers I know nothing about it pros,cons, advice,tips, any brands you liked best? Any info at all would be wonderful since I know nothing at all thanks

I didn’t switch until my daughter was 8 months and we only cloth part time and it still saves us $65 per month. I hate mama koala, it’s so hard to get a good fit with the 2 snap pattern. Anything with the 3 snap pattern like alvas work great for us. I don’t buy any diaper stuff off amazon anymore once I discovered sites where I can get so many other options. My go to site is happy beehinds, I also like bear booties and fluffy penguin. I also learned to go for natural fiber inserts rather than microfiber and charcoal bamboo. I love fluff butts. Mama koala is our favorite!! Keep your eye out for deals! They’re normally 6 pack for $40 but I’ve gotten them on Amazon on sale for $21 for a 6 pack! Then I bought second hand OsoCozy prefolds to stuff the pockets because the microfiber inserts are not very absorbent

We use cloth. The daycare won’t use them until Covid is over, but we use them at all other times. Saves us a ton. They really are easy to use. We also use the bio liners.

I am a HUGE advocate. We save a ton of money and it is much easier than I anticipated. We use pocket diapers so that we can adjust the absorbency as we need to. Definitely buy the rolls of disposable bamboo liners once they are past the nursing phase, since it makes cleaning MUCH easier. You don’t have to spend tons, but buy a decent middle of the line brand. We have used a few. Our absolute favorite is Noras Nursery, but Mama Koala is great, too!
