Loss of taste and smell

Okay so I started off with Sinusitis and every time I get this I always lose my smell and taste but normally when I start my dose of antibiotics it clears up within a couple of days. So I went in to get the sinuses looked at and came up Covid positive. I have no symptoms and the dr. doesn’t believe I lost my senses due to it . He said it’s just a sinus infection that has to go away. I suffer from really bad anxiety so this was definitely not the news I wanted to get . I’m trying not to listen to the hype but I really need to know when will I get my smell and taste back? It’s driving me crazy literally!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!
