Getting married and just secured a venue two days ago. Told our close family and a couple of people are mad at how far away the venue is from where they live.

The venue is like one stop shopping (the ceremony and reception are on the same site). It is about 1 hour to 1.5 hours for most people. But one group in particular (the one complaining about the distance) is 1 hour and 20 minutes from the venue. They said "we'll send your gift in the mail" and how "it isnt fair to their children" (who are 12 and 16 years old)
