3hr Glucose Test..."diet"?

Hello all. I failed my 1 hour glucose test  by 9 points. Has anyone that failed the 1 hour changed what they ate between the results and taking the 3 hour? I'm taking it next Monday 8am and have to stop eating/drinking except water 8pm on Sunday.  If you did or did not change your diet did you pass the 3 hour?

Eating the day before doesn’t matter, try to stay hydrated though. Gestational diabetes is how our body reacts to pregnancy, meaning we may not be making enough insulin within a 2 hour time period. If it was just 9 points you should pass the 3 hours one considering your body will make more insulin than just in one hour

I failed my 1 hour and change a little the way of eating I just didn’t eat any sweets n took plenty of water… the next day I went in for my 3 hours test and it came back normal it was all because when I took my 1 hour I had just finished eating like 40 min apart n that’s why it came back high… Don’t worry it should be fine but trust me that 3 hour one is so hard because u feel really hungry sometimes they don’t even let u drink water… you should be good don’t worry!!

I failed my 1 hr test, then passed my 3 hr test one week later. I didn't make any diet changes.

I also failed my 1 hr and passed my 3 hr with no changes at all. Gestational diabetes isn't caused by diet, so I wouldn't stress about making changes to it. The reason you have to fast is so that whatever you ate doesn't skew the results, it will already be out of your system by the time they do the test so I wouldn't worry about it. :)

I ate low carb, high protein and tried to be more active after meals leading up to my 3 hr. Not sure yet if I passed, but I figure if I fail it won’t be as much of a shock to change how I’m eating (plus it’s better regardless).

Dehydration can falsely elevate sugar levels. 
With my second kiddo I failed the one hour by just a few points and my midwife told me to make sure I slept well and was well hydrated the day before for the 3 hour and passed it with numbers all under 100 so make sure to get plenty of fluids before your three hour :)

After I failed the 1 hour I didn’t change my diet and still passed the 3 hour. I ate fried chicken the day before my 3 hour test and all my values were in range.
