One week postpartum

I’m one week postpartum and it seems like I’ve quickly gotten my sex drive back after having my daughter. I just have this urge to make love to my child’s father so bad but I know they say to “wait the 6 weeks” has anyone been in this position? Did you wait your six weeks after every pregnancy? If not how soon after birth did you become intimate again? How should I fight this urge?
