Is this necklace too big

When I was out shopping my mom told me this necklace was too big for me, it looks quite small to me. The chain length is 18 and the pendant size is 25x77m. I’m 19 and about 4’11 which got me thinking yea I’m short in height but my body size isn’t small, she’s about 5’1 and doesn’t like to wear a chain that’s bigger than 18 inches and usually only wears a chain that doesn’t have anything on it.
