Diastasis recti?
For those of you who have had it or have it- how/when did you know? If I am sitting up from a Lying down / reclined position or really any time my abs need to flex my stomach shapes into a cone. A pretty dramatic & impressive cone. I mentioned it to my doctor a long time ago and she just said oh yeah your muscles separate when youre pregnant it’s normal. She didn’t give it a name. But then my sister told me about diastasis recti and looking it up it doesn’t seem like everyone gets it. And seems like it makes a world of a difference for postpartum appearance.. and some people even get surgery to fix it?? I mean.. is this kind of a big deal?..
Let’s say I do truly have it- what can I do postpartum to get things back to normal. Can it go back to normal?
