Had my 36 week check up and the doctor suggested that we consider scheduling an induction at 39 weeks. When I asked why, she said my age (over 35). Everything looks good with the baby and they don't currently have any concerns about the baby, but the doctor said it was good to get the delivery going while everything was good instead of waiting and having possible problems arise. The doctor said recent studies show there is not much risk with 39 week inductions and she also suggested that it is being more of a common practice. Curious what others have heard from their doctors.
