My first I tore on the urethra because she was sunny side up & he head was tilted sideways so her conehead part got me 😅 it was my first time getting stitches and only time getting them and honestly wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but everyone is different!

When I went into labor and they were checking to see if my water had broke they noticed I had a yeast infection I was unaware of. They also warned me that because of this I would most likely tear.. they were right and I needed 2 stitches which were brutal. I gave birth without an epidural and remember asking them "can I have the drugs now?" And they were nice enough to dose me with an IV of fentanyl 🥴

It honestly just depends on your body. I knew my boy was going to be over 8 lbs (which he was), and I was 115 5’3 pre-pregnancy so I was so sure I was gonna tear and it made me nervous. I only tore a very little amount though and it didn’t even need stitches. Just try and stay hydrated throughout your pregnancy and you can work on your kegels too. Look up different positions to labor in also besides just on your back.
