Would you get mad at an adult sibling for opening your mail without permission?

Not sure if I'm overreacting or not. It was a piece of medical mail for my son that was accidentally sent to our parents house.

Depends. If it was a regular thing, yes. If it was a one-off that they did without thinking, I’d let it go.

On purpose, yes. If it was accidental, whatever. 
We move a lot and it’s easiest having everything important just go to my parents house so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. My mother has opened more than one bank statement since she briefly glances at the name and throws it in a pile. If it ends up in her pile to open, she opens it since she basically slices all her envelopes open once a week to sort out. It is what it is. It’s the risk I take with having all my crap sent there. I have nothing to hide, so I’m really not concerned. 
If you are that bothered, have your mail sent elsewhere.

First off that’s illegal as fuck. She could get in big trouble. Doesn’t matter if she’s family or not. Yes I would be mad. She knew it didn’t have her name on it so she had no business opening it.

We live on the same property as my in laws. We have our mail sent to their house as our address will take you up a totally different road (not sure why but it does.) That said his dad is a Sr and he's a Jr. Often times mail doesn't add the Sr/Jr part so it's just Rex ****** on the mail. They never know who it actually belongs to. So sometimes his mom absolutely does open his mail. It's a few times a week this happens. Once she realizes it's for Jr not for Sr she tells us like hey sorry thought it was dad's.

Yes and it's actually illegal  to do so. Opening other people's mail is a federal  offense (if I remember  correctly. )
