Primary care or obgyn ?

I am only 6weeks pregnant according to my period tracker. I have been feeling nauseous and I have cold hands and feet. Also I have a back pain and cramps UTI-like symptoms. I have had bad kidney infection 2years ago so I am worried if I have another one. Do I go to primary care for that or obgyn? My first obgyn appointment is not until august 10th.

Go to your ob gyn, they know what to prescribe when you are oregnant, that should be your main contact point at the clinic, then, if needed, you woll be refered to another specialist.

I’d just go to my primary doc for that honestly, but your OB would probably see you for it as well.

A lot of primary care providers won’t treat pregnant women. I would call your OB/GYN and tell them your symptoms. They may just have you give a urine sample and set up having to go to any doctor.

I’d call my OB office. When I had something similar last pregnancy they had me come in for a urine test but also did a quick ultrasound when they couldn’t find him with the Doppler. It was reassuring to see him bouncing around!
